Yes, I am unable to grub-install.
I have a setup where the first 3 partitions are already used (EFI Boot,
MacOS, Recovery) and so there is only one partition left to setup
Ubuntu.
Since I want to use whole-disk-encryption, the only possibility appears
to be LVM => bootlv and cryptlv, and then another Volume Group in
cryptlv with rootlv, homelv and swaplv.
Given this setup, grub-install fails to install in both /dev/sda
("embedding required but not possible") and /dev/sda4 (this bug report).
I have tried a workaround, where I've dumped the Recovery partition and
installed a "EFI-helper partition" (do not remember the name; only the
minimum partition size was required). This allowed to install Grub into
/dev/sda.
But without a recovery partition I cannot use FileVault (MacOS full disk
encryption) on the MacOS partition.

Title:
grub-probe fails with "no such disk" when using
/dev/mapper/vg0-rootlv, but now with /dev/dm-2 (which should be the
same)
