Mauro, I'll try that package today on my NP700Z7C (17" Chronos) and let you know. I noticed that the situation improved lately: normal CPU usage for the past few days, however I did not install any packages, just normal Ubuntu updates, and I believe it was no kernel updates: running 3.5.0-21 now.
Can you test wakeup from Suspend? Unlike the initial boot, when the 80% Core 1 usage is intermittent (at least for me), it always happens upon waking up from Suspend. On a separate note (probably different isue), but worth asking, I noticed that I mis a lot of keystrokes on this new Notebook. Could be mechanical or ergonomics issue, but can it be related to excessive (ACPI) interrupts and the CPU being overworked?
