Rich Drewes, it would be helpful if you could test reverting the commit noted in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1094800/comments/36 to see if this allows you to suspend again. If so, this would indicate it being highly likely the problem area is identified for your hardware. Could you please test this following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/BuildYourOwnKernel ?
