OK, I added the tag. Google is your friend. Next, I'll compile the
latest mainline kernel under 13.04 and see how that goes.

** Description changed:

I have installed the Ubuntu Raring x86_64 (AMD) daily build from
2/23/2013, from a USB stick. The kernel crashed during the install. I
was only able to install after adding " ivtv.blacklist=yes " to the
kernel boot line in the installer. Also, to boot the resulting
installation, I also have to blacklist the ivtv module, either in grub2,
or in /etc/modules/blacklist.conf. If I do (as super user) "modprobe
ivtv", the system crashes and the screen shows the attached image.

The installed hardware causing the bug is (from lspci -v):
10:09.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC16
(CX23416) Video Decoder (rev 01)
- Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc. WinTV PVR 250
- Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 10
- Memory at f8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=64M]
