I was only using the USB microphone (well, a webcam), so that was the only thing that stopped working. I haven't seen the problem resurface since I upgraded to 3.8.0-26-generic from raring-proposed:
Linux avetinja 3.8.0-26-generic #38-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jun 17 21:43:33 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I am, however, not using the device more than one hour a day, and it doesn't happen in that time anymore (it used to happen 5 minutes in of a video call). Also, would a usbmon log show any sensitive data like passwords being typed on a USB keyboard (it's connected to the same bus as my webcam)? I'd have to hit the problem again for it to be any use, of course. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1191603 Title: raring-updates: regression: 3.8.0-24.35 causes sporadic failure of USB audio devices To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1191603/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
