This has been happening for a long time. Do this: once you get booted up: ctrl+alt+F2 to switch to TTY2
sudo pkill gdm (this will usually take you away from TTY2, so ctrl+alt+F2 again) sudo pkill xorg sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install xorg-driver-fglrx once that is done: sudo aticonfig --initial --overlay-type=Xv now.... sudo gdm and you will have a working xorg (note, after you install, when you boot your computer again, you will have to do the same exact thing with your installed setup) Let me know if you get this to work. -- [Gutsy Tribe 4] Dell Inspiron E1505 Can't Install/Load Live CD with ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 - xorg Error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131799 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
