Yes, I have tried a fresh user account. Guess what?! Last night, there was an update that was released later that day that fixed the problem. Unfortunatly, I cannot remember the names of the packages that updated last night. The updates were released sometime on the 29th of October. They were the only updates for that day (I use Synaptic to update my system every night hoping to fix the bugs in Saucy).
