x: I can't really tell what this bug is about when I had a quick glance. Initially it looked like it might be about the NVIDIA driver not being recognised when Ubuntu Feisty was initially used but the log snippet seems to suggest a manual install which generally changes where you can go for support. The part about buying a new motherboard sounds a bit extreme so I won't comment any more on that.
I myself won't look at this any further as it seems to have turned into a manual install issue but I think it would help if you could upload your entire /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log (the log should mention NVIDIA rather than NV) files using the attachment button on the launchpad website. It may also be useful for someone else to see the file produced by doing dmesg > dmesg.txt after you are in the NVIDIA binary driver X. As you are appear to have done a manual install you may also want to take a quick look at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NvidiaManual as that details some of the common issues with manual installs.
