There are some problems with this answer: menulibre does not work properly at all. I have filed a bug about this.
menulibre only edits the main menu (mouse icon / applications menu), not any other menu AFAICT. The nvidia settings app can and does run with pkexec, but the point is that the extra is an artifact of my 12.04 system, and I did a fresh 14.04 install over it (not changing my /home partition), so I don't believe it should be there at all. If there is a general purpose menu editor that works, I'd be delighted to use it. Or if I knew where the config files for the apps were I could edit them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1362734 Title: settings manager contains entries (icons) that are obsolete and cannot be fixed or removed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/+bug/1362734/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
