Something else slightly interesting I found while searching was what I received 
from "$ acpi_listen" and then pressing my Sleep button:
button/sleep SBTN 00000080 00000000 K
jack/microphone MICROPHONE unplug
jack/headphone HEADPHONE unplug
jack/microphone MICROPHONE plug

I don't know if that is normal behavior. Makes me think to use the hda-
jack tool to unset the "Present" detection value, but I'm not
particularly big on making "hacks", but rather fixing problems.
