Okay, looks like this ethernet interface issue is NOT related to ACPI. I managed to get the ethernet interface working. I disabled network manager, put a basic configuration for eth0 in /etc/network/interfaces and ran "ifup eth0". No problems anymore. Playing around a bit, this looks like network manager jumps is the causing the issue. The second he jumps in, he breaks the configuration in some way.
For now this is okay, I have some work to do. Not sure, how to follow up. This is definitively an issue to be fixed, please advice if this bug should be reassigned to networking and if I add updates on my further investigations on nm/dnsmasq, or if you want me to open a new bug directly targeted at those components. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1516407 Title: Ethernet interface stops working after a few seconds To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1516407/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
