Public bug reported:

When I connect my camera to my computer and bring up the file manager
to examine video files, it changes the frames per second from 20 to 30,
which breaks the file. Just checking the file properties permanently
damages the file. This is recent, in the last few weeks something was
changed and the software broken. Shotwell also does the same thing so
it's in the underlying system code.

ubuntu 15.10

I expect an OS to be able to copy a file without breaking the file.

Any file operation breaks the file.
