Proprietary driver is a little complex to install due to dual Video Card. And I don't think the key point is nouveau because marco/metacity3.14/compiz don't have window missing issue.
As for current metacity 3.18.4-0ubuntu0.1, window title shadow unerased when switching Tab-page still exists (#46), though it is not a serious problem.
