Kernel 4.7.0-040700rc1-generic was installed and tested, the problems also appear with this upstream kernel (in this case, blank screen which stayed like that for a whooping 12 minutes, but this time it shut itself down. Im going to keep this upstream kernel to see how it shuts down.
A new problem arised: I have 4 GiB RAM installed, but since 3 days (and with both kernel 4.4.0.22 and kernel 4.7.0.04) sometimes only 2 GiB are recognized: Yesterday I cleaned the fan, the ram modules and the golden connections, exchanged the modules to see if one of them is broken (no) and 4 GiB were recognized the first time I booted with kernel 4.7.0.4. Second time I booted this kernel, only 2 GiB are recognized... Do you need me to apport again? ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1589109 Title: I have to unplug the cable to turn xubuntu 16.04 off To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1589109/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
