I just shut the laptop down, 5 minutes after having started it: closing took it one minute (blank screen) and when I started it, Bios listed 4 GiB RAM.
This may be related to the following: if I use my laptop for no more than 20 minutes and without network manager activated, it shuts without problems. If I use the laptop for more than 20 minutes and network manager detects a network and binds to it, problems appear on shutting down.
