Update after shutting down after changes in the snapshot above were executed:
On clicking shut down I still get an absolutely blank screen. On startup, bios showed only 2 out of 4 GiB installed RAM This time the laptop needed "only" 2 mins 5 seconds to automatically shut down, I didn't have to unplug the power cable. This is not related to the kernel 4.7.0-040700rc2-generic being in use, because every time I use the laptop for less than 20 minutes it has this "normal" behaviour. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1589109 Title: I have to unplug the cable to turn xubuntu 16.04 off To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1589109/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
