I started to see if I can help and took a read at snap bugs list at first to
not report duplicates.
I thought only server applications like lxd are affected by this design but it
seems "regular" desktop snaps that keep data in home snap dir do the same:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1644561 . This is by
design so not easy to fix if at all possible at this stage (probably that's
also why it is in "triaged" state since 2016. Too bad nobody seems to care for
this bug also (only 1 subscriber until I found it, subscribed).

Bash autocompletion weirdly seems to work after reinstalling snap and
lxd snap from scratch, it didn't when automigrated during 18.04>18.10
upgrade.

Man pages really come in handy on servers so I look forward for this (I only
hope it
won't be ommited by snap packages maintainers and will be added where
applicable once functionality is available).
