I tried to remove snap due to this behaviour (and that gnome-calculator,
system monitor doubling insanity) so rushed a little and removed all the
snaps before. Then realized that upgrading to 18.10 automatically and
forcefully upgraded also my lxd package to snap and migrated my
containers with it. So removing lxd snap also removed all my migrated
containers from /var/snap/lxd/common/lxd/storage-pools/lxdpool. Nice
move! It's not so smart flushing user data with a deinstallation of an
application is it? It somehow left irrelevant and probably randomly
chosen image of fresh centos7 image and one old and not useful centos6
snapshot.

Then I found this issue and many more that are snaps (like no
automatically added bash completion and usually no option to have man
pages for snap installed binaries (lxd does not even have one inside the
snap).

The snap is NOT ready as a product, yet it's pushed down everyone's
throats. I will really miss lxd as it was really great product but not
as a snap (and debs are already deprecated, also no lxd debs in cosmic).

I doubt You will miss me, but I and many others will miss Ubuntu due to
things like that.
