My programming knowledge is limited. I did go to university in circa
96-97 but did't like all they typing and it was costing way to for the
job prospects available (banking Yuk), so I went back to Biomedical and
imaging
Don't know if this is important, but anyway for consumption?
I have 3 boxes two of which both have Ubuntu-gnome desktop 14.04.5 (I don't do
new versions for awhile, as I no longer do beta testing and I don't do windows).
The first box has this problem, is is an AMD Phenom(tm) 9750 Quad-Core
Processor × 4, GeForce 8500 GT/PCIe/SSE2 with 8 GB of RAM
The second box is also the same desktop with the additional of Ubuntu-server
14.04.5 on a HP_xw9400_Workstation, with Quad-Core AMD Opteron's 2380x8, Quadro
FX3700/PCIe/SSE2 and 32 GB of RAM
Just not much of a typist so everything has a 'GUI' when I can. The thrid box
is an intel but not finished setting it up as a backup box yet (not to happy
with "unity-control-center deja-dup" OR "BackupPC" (too hard to set up). You
