@Koen Okay, I got the terms wrong I guess. It's the "auto spellcheck" that was disabled on the toolbar palette. The icon with "ABC" and a checkmark.
Auto Spellcheck vs AutoCorrect. To me they are the same thing. I'm trying to spell a word in a cell and OOo keeps changing my spelling. As I mentioned, I type 'cna' (without the quotes) and press enter. OOo changes that to 'can' (without the quotes). We use a English-UK dictionary. I disabled "auto spellcheck" (now that I got the correct terms from the toolbar palette hint) which seems like the logical thing to fix this problem, and yet OOo still keeps changing my spelling. Logically by disabling "auto spellcheck" I, and a few others that tried this in our office, would have thought that OOo will not interfere with our typing, but it still does. It seems "AutoCorrect" is always enabled and is not disabled when we explicitly told it not to interfere. AutoCorrect should also be disabled when "Auto Spellcheck" is disabled. -- auto correct is enabled in OOo Calc even though the toolbar shows it as disabled. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/146326 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
