Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

No details about your touchpad have been provided (make model etc), but
if it's a Synaptics s3203, TM3108-002, TM2714-002 .. it's possible that
this is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1854798

If you look at your `dmesg` log you may find messages like the following
providing detail on your actual hardware.

[ 2.111242] rmi4_f01 rmi4-00.fn01: found RMI device, manufacturer:
Synaptics, product: s3203, fw id: 1522295
[ 2.124077] usb 2-5: new high-speed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd
[ 2.175237] input: Synaptics s3203 as
/devices/pci0000:00/INT33C3:00/i2c-0/i2c-DLL060A:00/0018:06CB:2734.0001/input/input6

NOTE: I copied that from the 1854798 bug report, so it won't likely
match your system hardware.

I would suggest confirming your actual hardware (is it Synaptics models
like I'm betting it is) as then the bug-fix outlined in that possible
duplicate report will apply. Please report back here with results, and
if you tried the suggestions in the duplicate link and they work.

FYI: Duplicate reports are far more useful than 'affects me to' clicks,
so thank you for filing, and helping make Ubuntu better.
