To re-produce I only had to
1. login using openbox
2. right click and open terminal
3. drag terminal around screen using mouse; everywhere it left trails/images
I tried a number of boxes (could not replicate), the box I could
replicate it on was
18.04.4 LTS qa-install (from last week); kubuntu with lubuntu-desktop
added
Kernel : 5.3.0-40-generic
