Chris: It seems the key to making that system not work, though, was Kubuntu being installed first, though, right? You tried with Lubuntu and no problems? If that is true, can you try the Kubuntu+lubuntu-desktop thing on the other machines you have available? If we can reproduce on more than one (especially if there's not a common card or driver) then we can limit the bug down to something about Kubuntu (or the combination of Kubuntu+openbox).
It might also be good to see what other flavors+lubuntu-desktop result in. I presume the OP is on Ubuntu proper? Oh, and in all cases we're logging in with the Openbox session, right? What if we instead simply changed the value of x-window-manager and logged into the normal session? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1862756 Title: Openbox leaves a trail on new windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openbox/+bug/1862756/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
