I am surely being really dense here, but would be happy with a reason someone like me will understand :) I understand that the ubuntu world is moving a lot slower than i would likeĀ (hence the ability to create ppa packages), but it would be nice to not be 2-3 releases ahead of the current dev release when i want to build a backport package... cos i might end up breaking some stuff in the process.
