The workaround I have is not booting in Xgl but in Xorg. So, when your computer starts, ctrl + F1, there you have to log in. then type
sudo etc/init.d/gsm.multi-save stop or sudo killall -9 gdm then type startx But be carefull you start the right x-org session. Disadvantage by not starting through GDM is that you can't reboot/halt your computer with the shutdown dialog or that you can't easyli swith user via gsdm. But the improved speed of OOo makes it worth a try. -- OpenOffice has menu/icon redraw problems when using gtk-qt-engine https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/41831 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
