Regarding the above comment that it is "fixed in feisty with the new pulseaudio architecture", this is not necessarily the case. I am running Gutsy/7.10, and even with PulseAudio configured for both users, only the first user on the system will have sound. The second user to log in (using UserSwitching) will not have sound. Still researching this further myself, but if anyone has any suggestions, please forward them to me.
