I had this problem too. I have a dual-boot system. After the last upgrade, my cd-rom would not mount automatically, and I could no longer read my Windows drives. (I was able to force mount the cd-rom.)
I saw this suggestion to install NTFS-config https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/16411, which was on my system before the upgrade. I didn't realize that the upgrade would remove NTFS-config. After reinstalling NTFS-config, my cd-rom mounted automatically, and I could read my windows drives again. -- Ubuntu Dapper/Edgy can't mount some CD-Drive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/75097 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
