I've now had this issue on - sony vaio ultrabook svp11216cgb (i5-9400u, 4gb, intel haswell-ULT)
though IF error relates to my internet connection, my home network, my ISP etc.. no-one else will suffer this... (again an install alongside type of install) On reboot & selecting the new install... all looks good until you login at sddm/greeter... Then the lubuntu-installer-prompt window appears... We could tell users to `apt remove calamares lubuntu-installer-prompt` maybe on discourse... but after that was done & I rebooted I also had no wallpaper??? FYI: I had power cycled some of my local routing equipment PRIOR to starting this install, in case it was local switching... HOWEVER my server is currently another zsync (ubuntu desktop), so my internet maybe somewhat slower (its not quick anyway) which maybe why.. and maybe influences this... ie. issue occurs not just without internet, but just on slow internet? too low a timeout etc?? Regardless, if I'm the only person to experience this; I can just document workaround on Lubuntu discourse... (not sure about lack of wallpaper after lubuntu-installer-prompt & calamares removal.. but I've not explored that... likewise to LOGOUT or LEAVE session after those packages are removed; I got two prompts asking me to logout & one looks rather GTK/gnome/mate'y) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2083684 Title: lubuntu oracular - calamares To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calamares/+bug/2083684/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
