> I've also attached the output of dpkg --get-selections Narrator: he had not, in fact, attached the output of dpkg --get- selections.
Here it is for real. Oh, this also prompted me to realise something: ❯❯ dpkg -S iwlwifi.ko.zst linux-modules-extra-6.8.0-56-generic: /lib/modules/6.8.0-56-generic/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/intel/iwlwifi/iwlwifi.ko.zst So yeah, the driver comes from the linux-modules-extra package. I didn't have linux-modules-extra-6.8.0-57-generic. After installing it manually the driver is there and I assume I'll have WiFi (I'll report back if I don't). So the bug here is that whatever magic normally installs that linux- modules-extra package when I upgrade my kernel, didn't happen here for some reason? ** Attachment added: "dpkg-get-selections.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2106672/+attachment/5870640/+files/dpkg-get-selections.txt ** Summary changed: - iwlwifi missing from 6.8.0-57-generic + linux-modules-extra-6.8.0-57-generic not installed on kernel upgrade to 6.8.0-57-generic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2106672 Title: linux-modules-extra-6.8.0-57-generic not installed on kernel upgrade to 6.8.0-57-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2106672/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
