Your smb.conf file is fine and pretty basic, not using any advanced
features. Do you happen to still have the core or crash file that was
produced, in /var/crash/*?
If yes, could you please attach it to this bug?
Also, please run this command to attach logs and other information to
this bug:
sudo apport-collect -p samba 2108981
You will be given a chance to review the data before submitting it.
Alternatively, you could also provide the following specific
information, if you would rather not run that command above:
- log files from /var/log/samba/log.*
- list of samba packages installed:
dpkg -l | grep -E
"(samba|smb|winbind|wbclient|ldb|talloc|tevent|tdb|registry-tools)
Additionally, and this is something the apport-collect tool won't collect,
please provide:
- the release upgrade logs from /var/log/dist-upgrade/*
