I could not reproduce it just by upgrading the package (from
8.4.4-0ubuntu2 to 8.4.5-0ubuntu0.1, on plucky).
It's interesting that you mention you have mariadb running in the
system: mysql-server and mariadb-server are conflicting, you can only
(through apt) install one or the other.
- can you somehow reproduce this bug? Are you aware of steps to trigger this
from a fresh install?
- could you elaborate on your mariadb/mysql setup?
