Re-starting in questing in a fresh image, maybe I took a wrong turn in the many iterations above.
- test1 - questing cloud image as of 20th Aug 2025 - works - test2 - dist-upgrade to latest - works - test3 - same as test2 but reboot into the new kernel 6.16.0-13 (reboot) - works - test4 - get libc6 from proposed (libc6) - worked - test5 - core libs (toolchain/libs gcc-15-base libstdc++6 libatomic1) - - test6 - apparmor (apparmor libapparmor1) - TODO - test7 - tools (coreutils coreutils-from-gnu sudo sudo-rs) - works - test8 - llvm/clang ( libclang-cpp20 libclang1-20 libllvm20) - works - test9 - unrelated (dpkg libsqlite3-0 dhcpcd-base git-man initramfs-tools initramfs-tools-bin initramfs-tools-core) - works - test10 - python (python3.13 python3.13-gdbm python3.13-minimal libpython3.13 libpython3.13-minimal libpython3.13-stdlib) - test11 - more libs (gir1.2-glib-2.0 libglib2.0-0t64 libglib2.0-bin libglib2.0-data libgraphite2-3) - works - test12 - liburing2 - works - test12 - systemd (ibnss-systemd libpam-systemd libsystemd-shared libsystemd0 libudev1 systemd systemd-cryptsetup systemd-resolved systemd-sysv udev systemd-resolved-dnssec) - works - test13 - qemu (qemu-block-extra qemu-system-common qemu-system-data qemu-system-misc qemu-system-modules-opengl qemu-system-modules-spice qemu-system-riscv qemu-utils) So in this order it clearly is the new qemu in questing-proposed. But as shown earlier, we can build qemu at older versions and it also shows this issue. New theory - could be "if built against the new -dev of some package, like libc6-dev". Do the above test combined with the build from source after installing PKGs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2120835 Title: EDK2 tests for riscv emulation fail against qemu 10.1 on ppc64 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/edk2/+bug/2120835/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
