I tested with 'pcie_aspm=off' added to the GRUB kernel command line: $ sudo lspci -vv -s 01:00.0 | grep -i LnkSta LnkSta: Speed 2.5GT/s (downgraded), Width x16 LnkSta2: Current De-emphasis Level: -3.5dB, EqualizationComplete+ EqualizationPhase1+
The link is still stuck at Gen1 (2.5 GT/s). So ASPM does not seem to be the cause. The issue looks more like a regression in the NVIDIA 580-open driver or kernel PCIe handling. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2125583 Title: NVIDIA RTX 5080 runs at PCIe Gen1 speed on Ubuntu 24.04 with nvidia- driver-580-open To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-restricted-signatures-hwe-6.14/+bug/2125583/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
