I double-checked the BIOS on my ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NFR) — there are no visible GPU/MUX or graphics configuration settings, so the integrated AMD GPU cannot be manually enabled or switched. The system only shows standard power and boot options, no “Hybrid” or “Discrete GPU” toggle.
As requested, I tested again with amd_iommu=off added to the kernel command line. Here are the steps and commands I followed: sudo nano /etc/default/grub # Changed this line: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" # To this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash amd_iommu=off" sudo update-grub sudo reboot amd-s2idle test result file attached -------------------------------------------------------------- for missing AMD GPU PCI I didn't touch the BIOS, it's a new laptop, installed windows at first then installed ubuntu with dual boot. for confirmation do you want me to run "reset BIOS defaults" and text again ? for windows sleep works with noted things, (keyboard light pulses, fan randomly runs on too high speed for long periods). I will look for SleepStudy and Armoury Crate in next comment. thanks ** Attachment added: "amd-s2idle-report-2025-10-08.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-6.14/+bug/2126897/+attachment/5916489/+files/amd-s2idle-report-2025-10-08.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2126897 Title: Asus TUF Gaming A15 (FA506NFR) fails to wake from suspend — stuck on black screen (Ubuntu 24.04.3, kernel 6.14.0-33) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-6.14/+bug/2126897/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
