Hi all,

This bug affects me too on **Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS (Noble Numbat)** with
kernel 6.14.0-33-generic—exact same symptoms: suspend via lid close or
`systemctl suspend` leads to black screen on wake. Started ~Oct 20 after
what seems like a kernel pull (though apt logs clean)!

**My Hardware (Intel Hybrid vs. Reporter's AMD):**
- Laptop: **HP Pavilion Notebook** (`dmidecode -s system-product-name`)
- CPU: **Intel Core i7-7500U (4 cores @ 3.50 GHz)**
- GPU: **NVIDIA GeForce 940MX (discrete)** + **Intel HD Graphics 620 @ 1.05 GHz
(integrated)**
- BIOS: **F.25** (`sudo dmidecode -s bios-version`)
- `lspci -k | grep -i nvidia`:
  ```
  01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM108M [GeForce 940MX] (rev a2)
        DeviceName: NVIDIA N16S-GTR
        Kernel driver in use: nvidia
        Kernel modules: nvidiafb, nouveau, nvidia_drm, nvidia
  ```
- NVIDIA Driver: 580.95.05 (`nvidia-smi`; CUDA 13.0)
- Sleep mode: **s2idle [deep]** (`cat /sys/power/mem_sleep`)—deep available but
defaults to s2idle
- PRIME: **on-demand** (hybrid mode; `prime-select query`)
- DE/WM: **GNOME 46.0 / Mutter (X11)** (`echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE`)
- Memory: 23.24 GiB total

**Relevant Logs (NVIDIA PM Errors on Suspend):**
From `dmesg` post-failed resume (journalctl -k -b -1 if needed):
```
[ 89.189206] nvidia 0000:01:00.0: PM: pci_pm_suspend(): nv_pmops_suspend
```

Happy to attach full dmesg (`journalctl -k -b 1`), nvidia-bug-
report.log, or Windows SleepStudy. Should this be marked duplicate of a
general suspend bug, or split for Intel/NVIDIA cases?

Thanks!
