However, a notification says there's a new BIOS release and suggests upgrading. After the upgrade, reboot the laptop, works as usual. But, it can't reboot or shutdown, it remains freezing after exection the commands. By searching on Google, the issue is caused by the Realtek SD card reader driver. The temp fix is to add a 'pcie_aspm=off' parameter in the GRUB CMDLINE.
