> It feels you confirmed exactly what I suggested/assumed with my mention of a "pc-q35-noble-amdnoarchcap" type or similar. All else is exactly as I expected it but I thank you a lot for confirming.
... with the caveat that you should do it on your dot-release bundles rather than as a per-feature trait. Doing the per-feature thing would just explode your test matrix and make it unwieldy as you add more of these. Maybe check with other teams on whether similar things have come up in the past, and move to a dot-release schedule if it makes sense? Whatever you end up choosing, it doesn't make sense to have a bug live on in the LTS releases, so making the new change the default, and having the older machine type for bug + live migration compat is the way to do it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2131822 Title: Known Windows 11 KVM Issue AMD KMODE Exception To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/2131822/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
