When I had the Vostro, Dell changed both my keyboard and motherboard. Nothing changed. This is a bug in the EC firmware. I had the Thinkpad P16s Gen2 and I can confirm that a similar issue occurred but was not the same. It occurred maybe 2-3 times in one year, and once triggered, that basically killed the keyboard and needed a reboot. Instead on my Dell the key was stuck until I pressed another button, making the interrupt for keyup of the previous key being "recovered". Then keyboard returned to work.
