Public bug reported:

Pytest requires async tests to explicitly import the pytest-asyncio
plugin as of pytest 8.4.0 [1]. The missing test dependency is causing
autopkgtest failures. The same issue is also causing python-throttler to
be FTBFS in proposed [2].
