If you continue to have problems with drive and can't reformat it for some
reason, make sure you have ntfs-3g installed and blacklist ntfs3 module:
sudo apt install ntfs-3g
echo 'blacklist ntfs3' | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/disable-ntfs3.conf
