Glad to see you can toggle the LED manually through software, that narrows the issue a little.
Since this problem is reproducible in mainline and not Ubuntu-specific, we might not be the appropriate people to address the issue. My best guess is that the driver is missing a quirk for your specific device ID, I attached a patch that may resolve the issue. You could try building a kernel with the test patch by following the directions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/GitKernelBuild and applying the patch with `git am` right before building. ** Patch added: "0001-ALSA-hda-realtek-fix-mute-micmute-LEDs-for-HP-ZBook-.patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-hwe-6.14/+bug/2137200/+attachment/5938930/+files/0001-ALSA-hda-realtek-fix-mute-micmute-LEDs-for-HP-ZBook-.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2137200 Title: The mute led is not working.
