Thanks for the reviews!
- The opcache package has no reverse dependencies outside of the PHP binaries
themselves:
$ reverse-depends php8.4-opcache
Reverse-Depends
===============
* libapache2-mod-php8.4
* libphp8.4-embed
* php8.4-cgi
* php8.4-cli
* php8.4-fpm
* php8.4-phpdbg
(also true for 8.3)
So I don't think the 'provides' is needed here.
- Release notes will be updated as part of the transition, and the DB
drop can be mentioned there, yes.
- The updated signing keys come from upstream

- The transitional php8.4-xsl seems to have no reverse dependencies (same for
php8.5-xsl then).
Maybe we can drop it, yes.
For now, I'd follow with the upload, and then file a bug to check this later.
- The autopkgtests are green for all arches in the PPA (:
- Thanks for reminding me of the 8.4 delta: I have checked the CVEs, but
indeed overlooked the ubuntu-specific patches. I have uploaded a new
version including those patches to the PPA. I have updated the version
in the repository too.
