Hi Michael, I feel like I might have a very similar bug. I've just been searching for anyone that has similar issues. Like you: XFCE, Nvidia (4060 - both drivers 580 + 590 seem to have issues). Kernel 6.17.0-8-generic. Fully up to date with dist-upgrade. I have border issues, Xfce Panel crashing or reloading and even scrolling up or general typing in terminals like xfce terminal or alacritty just causes it to completely blank out (weirdly Ghostry is fine).
I wasn't sure if it was a Kernel, Nvidia driver issue or X11 or LightDM issue. While searching in other thread that didn't seem related I saw switching the Nvidia "Preferred" or Performance mode to Max Performance helped (from adaptive or auto). This definitely worked for me. No issues so far. Just wondering if this works for you or otherwise I might log my own issue.
