Public bug reported:

Starting 6.17.0-14-generic cdc_ncm fails to get link duplex status.
My bond device on top of cdc_ncm reports `failed to get link speed/duplex`.
ethtool reports `Duplex: Unknown! (255)`

Don't see any other error in the log, just know the device works with
`linux-image-6.14.0-37-generic` and `linux-image-6.8.0-94-generic`.
I have multiple hosts with this USB device and on all hosts the behavior is the
same: right after upgrade from 6.14 to 6.17 USB device stops working.

The device is Trendnet TUC-ET2G.
