Hi Mike, don't worry, we'll work together to figure out what is
happening.
I cannot see any suspend annotation in the logfiles, in particular in
the -b-1 (that's what usually has the crash log)
Can we try again?
So, start your machine, make it go into suspend, awake it and get the
black screen. Try to switch VT as you already did, then hard reboot.
After the reboot, please run again
journalctl -b-1 > prev_journal_2.txt
and attach it here. I'm sorry but the log you attached has no mention of
any error or suspend, so we need to try again.
In the captured logs by apport, there is no devcoredump either, so I
cannot examine it.
