A bridge is in play for me as well (vmbr0) - I have no means to check if a passthru would heal this.
Side note 1: I can see the packets from the VM when I do the tcpdump on the PVE host, which is connected to the same bridge. I think that is odd, because that suggests that the packets leave the VM, but then get lost on their way out. Side note 2: It does not matter which emulation I choose. I can even switch online between virtio and e1000 on the VM.
