Alessio: I got myself in trouble attempting the installation, maybe dodged a bullet, so want to check with you before proceeding. After some stumbling around I got to a point where I entered: sudo apt install \ linux-image-unsigned-6.17.0-14-generic=6.17.0-14.14afaina1 \ linux-modules-6.17.0-14-generic=6.17.0-14.14afaina1
I'm currently booted into 6.17.0-14-generic, which is different than -14.14afaina1, but this fact wasn't recognized by the install app so I received a warning (thank goodness) that I was about to remove the kernel I was actively running which would leave my system unbootable, so I aborted. What is your recommended way to load your kernel? Should I first load an earlier kernel, like 6.17.0-13, so the 6.17.0-14-generic can be replaced since it isn't in use? Is there another command line approach you would recommend for the installation that would be a bit less trouble?
