Hi Scarlett - Thank you for confirming you could see a problem. However, on 3 fresh installs of 25.10 I have confirmed the script (Alt-F4 KWin for ver. Plasma 6.1+ by micha4w) does install correctly.
On a fresh install, I actually have this KWin Script functioning correctly and have conclusively identified a reproducible bug with the 25.10 Distro as follows: Steps to reproduce bug: 1. Install Kubuntu 25.10 fresh 2. Settings - Keyboard - Shortcuts - Window Management - Expand "Close Window", Untick Alt+F4 3. Settings - Window Management - KWin Scripts - Get New - Search "Alt", install Alt-F4 Script (Plasma 6.1+ ver) 4. Return to previous screen, Tick "Alt-F4 Desktop" KWin Script 5. Observe that the "Alt-F4 Desktop" KWin Script functions correctly (closing Windows and Offering Logout Menu when clicking desktop). 6. Now have both the "Close Window" Keyboard Shortcut and the "Alt-F4 Desktop" Kwin Script ticked simultaneously. Then go back and untick the keyboard shortcut (or untick them both) - Then observe that the KWin Script will remain forever broken / non-functioning. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2141872 Title: Alt-F4 Desktop KWin script not functioning in Kubuntu 25.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kwin/+bug/2141872/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
