Public bug reported:
I had installed an older NVIDIA grafik card and was able to install the
580 version of the nvidia device driver. After some further installs of
OpenCL software ubuntu Discover listed some updates of the 580 packages
for the 24.04.4 ubuntu version.
I installed them but the installation broke. I tried different ways to solve
the problem but nothing worked. So I uninstalled the grafik card and now there
is still the package libnvidia-gl-535 listed in Discover.
If I try to install the update, I get the message:
Error while installing package: trying to overwrite
'/usr/share/egl/egl_external_platform.d/15_nvidia_gbm.json',
which is also in package libnvidia-egl-gbm1
So how to solve the problem or better: How am able to install 580
version of driver again. There are package conflicts between 580 and
535.
