Thanks for the suggestion. I tested with built-in Ubuntu applications (e.g., Settings, Files), and the issue could not be reproduced there.
I also tested with Firefox, and it behaves correctly as well. However, the issue can be reproduced with VsCode and Obsidian (less frequently). Both applications are Electron-based. This suggests the issue may be related to how Electron-based applications interact with GNOME when dock auto-hide is enabled. Additional observations: - After switching applications, the window is sometimes restored from maximized state - The maximize button still shows the "restore" state, suggesting the window state is out of sync - The window is often repositioned to the top-left corner when this happens - The issue appears to occur more frequently (in VsCode) when the window is maximized by double-clicking the title bar, compared to using the maximize button. This may indicate a difference in how the maximize state is handled depending on the trigger method. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2147519 Title: Auto-hide Dock causes maximized window to be restored with stale maximize button state in Ubuntu 24.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock/+bug/2147519/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
